At Jeanne Barret Primary School, we believe that our educational mission extends beyond the classroom walls: it is part of a greater responsibility to actively contribute to our community. In this spirit, we are proud to collaborate with the association Anges du Soleil, an NGO whose deep commitment to education and social solidarity perfectly aligns with our values.

L’ONG Anges du Soleil œuvrent dans des quartiers défavorisés de l’île Maurice pour offrir à des enfants issus de milieux moins favorisés la chance d’une scolarisation de qualité. Leur objectif est de rompre le cycle de pauvreté générationnelle en donnant aux enfants les clés d’un avenir meilleur.
Specifically, the association enrolls children in kindergarten at French- and English-speaking schools and supports them throughout their entire educational journey.
Au-delà des cours, les Anges du Soleil proposent un soutien psychologique et pédagogique, ainsi que des ateliers sportifs, artistiques et culturels afin de favoriser l’épanouissement de chaque enfant.
They also work with families, supporting them in establishing household routines, providing parental education, and raising awareness on issues such as the environment and health.
