A meaningful human and educational encounter
Annabelle is a deeply caring, gentle, and attentive person, both with children and their parents. What particularly stood out to us in her support was her empathy, her respect for each child's individual pace, and her ability to create a genuine atmosphere of trust and confidence.
Communication with her has always been transparent, and her availability has been remarkable. We have always felt listened to, supported, and fully involved in our children's educational journey.
Our children had been home-educated for several years and were very apprehensive about returning to the classroom. Annabelle welcomed them with great sensitivity, reassured them, and supported each of them individually through tailored tools and strategies suited to their needs.
Our little boy, Tinaël, had a lot of self-doubt. Thanks to her support, he regained confidence in himself and in the teaching staff. Today, both of them are attending school in France in a mainstream setting, and their integration has been remarkably smooth and effortless, which still amazes us.
Her support provided them with valuable tools to develop their self-confidence and adaptability. Watching our children flourish week after week, and run to school every morning, has been the greatest proof of the quality of her work
Annabelle does not play a role at school: she is exactly the same person there as she is in life. And that is what makes all the difference. The well-being of the children is her priority, and this is deeply felt.
We keep from this parent–professional relationship a great deal of emotion… and also a few regrets that it has come to an end. We wish every parent the chance to experience something as meaningful as ours.
To those considering entrusting their child to her: do not hesitate. With Annabelle, kindness never excludes high standards or hard work. She will undoubtedly remain one of the most meaningful human encounters we have had in Mauritius.
A school where every child finds their place
Lorsque nous avons pris la décision de changer notre fille d’école, nous cherchions bien plus qu’un établissement scolaire. Nous cherchions un lieu où elle pourrait retrouver confiance en elle, se sentir comprise, encouragée et valorisée.
The meeting with Annabelle was a turning point.
Dès les premières semaines, elle a su voir notre fille telle qu’elle est réellement : ses forces, ses difficultés, ses besoins, ses sensibilités. Là où d’autres voyaient parfois uniquement les défis, Annabelle a vu son potentiel.
Grâce à sa bienveillance, son écoute et son approche profondément humaine, notre fille a retrouvé le plaisir d’apprendre, davantage de confiance en elle et le sentiment d’avoir sa place. Elle se sent écoutée, encouragée et accompagnée chaque jour.
Ce qui me touche le plus chez Annabelle, c’est qu’elle place toujours l’enfant au centre de ses priorités. Son objectif n’est pas simplement d’enseigner, mais de permettre à chaque enfant de grandir, de s’épanouir et de croire en lui-même.
En tant que parent, j’apprécie également sa disponibilité et la qualité de la communication qu’elle entretient avec les familles. On se sent écoutés, impliqués et soutenus.
Dans un monde où tant d’enfants peuvent parfois perdre confiance en eux ou ne pas trouver leur place, rencontrer une éducatrice comme Annabelle est une véritable bénédiction.
Je souhaite de tout cœur une belle réussite à cette nouvelle aventure avec l’école Jeanne Barret. Les enfants qui auront la chance d’y grandir seront entre de très bonnes mains.
